Mint Fitness was established in 2008 to provide supervised personal training to the people of Brighton and Hove. In simple terms, High-Intensity Training (HIT) is essentially short bursts of vigorous exercise that can have a huge impact on your life, mind and body.
The goal of our personal training program is to bring out the best version of you. Probably the most noticeable improvement will be your level of strength. Our focus on a ‘progressive overload’ system, each week we will encourage you to improve on a previous performance. Alongside this improvement in strength, you can expect to feel much fitter.

Finding Matt at Mint Fitness was a huge stroke of luck and transformed both my attitude and physical fitness: one short, intense and structured session every week – no need to spend hours flailing around in a gym, no need to think about what I need to do as Matt does the thinking and planning.

Having trained on Mint Fitnesses ARX machine for a few months now, I have to say I am mightily impressed with the after effects! It totally maxes out your glucose stores. We also know from the science that HIT exercise generates lactate, which in turn stimulates growth hormone – especially 12-15 mins of interval training 2-3 times weekly. But combine a session or ARX in between and this will push your growth hormone levels way up. Fantastic for those looking to build muscle and lose fat! Fantastic to see Mint Fitness investing in kit that really works!

I was unsure about high-intensity training as I was worried I would get muscley rather than fit. After a few years of HIT, I am a complete convert. My body shape has changed for the better, I am much more toned and generally feel much stronger, fitter and energised. It takes focus and dedication but Matt is very supportive and motivational. It is quite incredible how each week you see the results and can do more and more. When I first started I really struggled to do 2 or 3 proper press ups! And the best thing is it takes only 20 mins of hard work per session so it’s great for busy people who struggle to find time to get fit.!

Since I started personal training at Mint Fitness my fitness and strength have improved so much. For a mum juggling work and home life; it’s brilliant. Two 30 minute sessions a week replace hours of gym classes like Spinning and Aerobics. It’s flexible, quick, almost enjoyable and I feel the benefits. Matt is a great trainer, I’ve been seeing him twice a week for a couple of years and I never get bored. I know Matt is concerned with my overall fitness and well-being.

Over the past decade, I’ve been in and out of various different gyms, but have never managed to achieve the kind of results I was looking for. That all changed when I met Matt at the Mint Fitness Studio. At 31 years of age, I feel fitter, stronger and healthier than ever. I now enjoy the short, intense sessions.
